Happy New Year! For New Year's Day, we headed out to see one of my good friends, Julie, and her husband Allen. Julie was my road-buddy in High School and we always spent those roadtrips singing as loudly as we could! :)
At first, Rachel was sad to go see "other Julie" because she thought we had to trade in her Aunt Juli (Todd). After learning that this wasn't the case, and that Julie and Allen had toys and a park nearby, she was ready to head out to Spring to visit with this "new Julie." Logan immediately took to "Joowee!" and Rachel scoped out the house and was very impressed with the tub in their master bath.
Suffice it to say that they had a great time and Allen and Julie were so nice and welcoming! We got to see their gorgeous new house and even headed out to the playground. A place I think we'll end up seeing again soon!

The kids napped on the way home and Rachel was sad when she awoke to find no Julie and Allen.
I'm so glad we got to catch up with old friends and that our kiddos got to meet these wonderful people too!

It was so nice to see you guys and meet your wonderful family. I look forward to seeing you again in a few weeks. I'm so glad we're in Houston and now we can see you more often ;)
